My roommate Laura has to watch STARWARS (I don't even know if that is one word or two) for her online class. Not just 1 of them....but ALL 6. I hate Starwars. Laura hates Starwars. We are about to have the most awful roommate-bonding experience ever because of this completely lame movie. I am SO sorry if you are a Starwars lover, but I for one don't understand it, and don't want to...and I hope our friendship (blogship) will not be too hindered by this fact. Oh heavens...there are some guy friends of hers over here watching with us (so much for roommate bonding...j/k i like them) and one of them is explaining something about Jet-eyes? Jedis? Jedies? (Clearly, I'm a fan.) I mean, I don't know, if someone else has to explain every scene because others in the room are THAT confused just seconds after the previews, what is the point?!
Ok. Venting done. Pretend smile, on. Wishing there were invisible i-pod headphones somewhere because I am craving some Brooke Fraser. Home girl can take Princess Lea (Leah? Lay-AH?) any day. (Is she even in this movie?)

Hilarious! I can not stand science fiction anything! What kind of class would require that! LOL!! Bless
LOL!
Abby, another reason we're are spiritual twins.
Everything you said ... I'm the EXACT same way!
Oh, just bless star wars. I fell asleep, in the theatre, while seeing one of the movies. I just can't do it. It kills me!
LOVE the new look...wish I could figure out how to make mine look cool!! :)
and AMEN to hating starwars...my hubby has tried to convince me to watch it...REFUSED. An ex-boyfriend tried to get me to watch it one time- wanting to impress...I really tried, REALLY...and fell asleep about 30 minutes into it...just CAN'T do sci-fi- to far out there!!
Hang on girl...you are a GOOD friend...LOVE YA!
Yep...Star who? Star what?? One movie is challenging enough but to have to watch more than 2??!! YUCK! Good luck. Have a great weekend. Blessings.....
I actually haven't ever seen a Star Wars movie - my sympathies to you and your room mate :)
I had a great weekend! It rained AND we had lightning!! Hope yours was nice!
hey abby, well my son (19) has watched ALL the star war episodes like a gazillion times in my presence. i have had way too much exposure to these classics for one person to admit and this is even harder to admit i don't get it either....he tells me it's about the battle between good and evil, and good wins. that's all i need ot know.
What type of instructor, on-line or not assigns all 6 Star Wars movies?? Argh!!
I did see the original one when I was a teenager and I think the only reason I liked it was because I had a huge crush on Harrison Ford and Mark Hamil.
Oh well, I hope you both make it through and at least get something (for the course) out of watching them.
By the way, I teach an on-line class. My students have to watch "When Harry Met Sally." I think that's a better choice. Don't you agree??

Ummm...this is just a P.S....
Is PAGES (Shane and Shane) just simply amazing?! I mean seriously. And in all reality, if I had a running song list on the blog, we'd have the same songs. I love it.
Have a great week, precious Abby!
Linds
You are too funny!! How can you have made it to the age that you are and have never seen a Star Wars movie?! I have seen them, don't love 'em, but atleast I have seen the!! I mean, come on, you can't beat the young Harrison Ford!
Just kidding!!
But seriously, what kind of class demands that you watch all 6 of them?! A crazy class, that's what!
Okay, the professor (or whoever was responsible for assigning the movies) MUST be male.
We own all the Star Wars. And Star Treks. And Lord of the Rings. And who knows what else.
Men.
At least it wasn't the Rocky series!
Maybe her future husband will be impressed that she has seen all the Star Wars!
Umm Yeah. I know this is an older post, but I HATE STARWARS TOO! I had to let you know, because I live in a house where the Boys out number the Girls and sometimes Zoe and I have to hole up in my room and watch Anne Of Green Gables while there is a sci fi fest going on in the livingroom, where the surround sound makes it sound like they are right there on that big ship! THANK GOD I GOT A DAUGHTER!
