Okay, I officially stink at blogging. :) But that's alright...I've accepted it, and I'm moving on...
I have so much I want to write about and normally that means I just wimp out and don't write anything because I am THE most indecisive person on the planet. I've been that way since I was little. I used to apologize to my stuffed animals that didn't sleep with me (because clearly only so many could fit in the bed without suffocating me) and I always had the hardest time deciding which ones would be so privileged to be sweated (word?) and drooled on, and always felt the need to HUG the rejects one more time before hitting the sack. :) What in the world...
Anyways, I was inspired to share my current favorite song (haha...as if there was just one) with you after seeing a commercial for Oprah's Favorite Things show (ps..Julia Roberts is on tomorrow--Monday, that is--for any fans) and just had to share this song because I think I have listened to it every day for like 2 weeks now. It is by Shane Bernard and Shane Everette...also known as Shane&Shane...and it's called Embracing Accusations. The words are amazing, but I would encourage you to go to their myspace page and actually listen to the song (maybe while you read if you'd like) because it is one POWERFUL thing to hear these two AMAZINGLY talented individuals sing together. I'm including the link for their page at the bottom...so please take advantage of it if you have a few minutes to listen. I'll be back tomorrow or Tuesday to write about what's been going on with life! Love ya'll!!
Embracing Accusation
The Father of lies
Coming to steal kill and destroy
All my hopes of being good enough
I hear him saying, “cursed are the ones who can’t abide”
He’s right, hallelujah, he’s right
The devil is preaching the song of the redeemed
That I am cursed and gone astray
I cannot gain salvation
Embracing accusation
Could the father of lies be telling the truth of
God to me tonight?
That if the penalty of sin is death, then death is mine
I hear him saying, “cursed are the ones who can’t abide”
He’s right, hallelujah, he’s right
The devil is preaching the song of the redeemed
That I am cursed and gone astray
I cannot gain salvation
The devil’s singing over me an age-old song
That I am cursed and gone astray
Singing the first verse so conveniently over me
He’s forgotten the refrain.
JESUS SAVES!!!

You just blog whenever you can get to it Abby because when a post from Abby does show up---it is the fragrance of Jesus to us. You so hold on the truths in your heart---Truth from your First Love and we all see such beauty and passion in you. Some day, if I ever meet you, I want to stand next to you and sing Tomlin's Amazing Grace, My Chains are Gone...keep on blogging whenever you can get to it and you don't ever have to comment to everyone either...we just want to hear your heart, smell that fragrance, you sweet sweet thing!
I love the words to that song. I, too, stink at keeping up with the bloggers! Thankfully, blogging is not our job, but an outlet to write what is on our hearts. You have a heart for Jesus and you bless us with your words when you do blog, but don't be a slave to the computer! Have a great week!
glad your back. missed you. I love your blog!!!
You get here when you can!! We love you. :)
Those are some powerful lyrics there. Going to go listen....
love you!
steph.
Umm...yes. We are sisters, seriously!!
Sleeping with your animals at night?!? Thank you very much. I too, was one of those kids that lined them all up beside me at night. For the ones that didn't make the cut, I lined them up accordingly so they at least had eachother!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!
And Shane & Shane. I really have no words for them...or this song. The first time I ever heard this song my eyes got filled with tears and I had goosebumps all over my body!!! LOVE IT!!! They are my absolute favorite!!
Have a splendid Monday!!!!

And..finally, the stuffed animal thing totally cracked me up!!
Have a great Thanksgiving Abby! I'm thankful for you and all my blogging friends out there!! Aren't they the best?!

we love to hear from you when you get the chance, but don't let the blog become a source of stress. I did that for awhile, felt obligated to blog constantly and it WORE me OUT!!!
